::COURT OF APPEAL
INTRODUCTION
.The court of Appeal is establishes under Section
64(1) of the Constitution of Kenya.
.The Court of Appeal is a superior court of
record and is only endowed with appellate jurisdication. This
means that one cannot file an orginal suit in the Court of Appeal.
.The Court only hears appeals from the High court.
COMPOSITION
.The Court of Appeal is comprised of the Chief
Justice and a maximum of 11 Judges of Appeal.
.Three Judges of Appeal usually sit to determine
an appeal and the majority decision is binding on all courts.
