:: Economic Empowerment PROGRAMME

The Economic Programme is organised with the clear objective that economic empowerment is the genesis of stronger more effective citizen participation as organisations and/or individuals with disabilities.

:: Economic empowerment has two dimensions:

1. To improve access to economic opportunites within and without the the potentials provided by the Persons with Disability ACT and the constitution of Kenya.

2. To improve skills and technology transfer necessary for effective participation as individual citizens and organisations of Persons with disabilities.


Objective one is achieved mainly by:

a) Education and Training programmes

b) Exchange programmes

c) Leadership and role modelling organisations.

d) Strategic partnerships


Objective two is mainly pursued through:

a) Vitendo Enterprises

b) Leadership and manager Awards.

c) Exchange programmes
