::Four types of Deafblindness

The deafblind population is usually divided into four distinct categories based on etiology. That is, the cause and the onset of the impairments with each group requiring special skills and needs for rehabilitation.

a) Congenitally Deafblind

b) Congenitally blind or partially sighted

c) Adventitiously Deafblind.

d) Congenitally Deaf or Hard of Hearing and adventiously Blind or Visually Impaired.
