Disability is not Inability

:: Intergration of Disability AIDS.

The Disability Council can approach the NACC to fund a coordinated disability policy framework that guides interventions within the disability community.

The Council has the following strategic responsibilities for the disabled AIDS:

A. Mainstreaming disability issues within the resources and interventions of the national HIV/AIDS management strategy through developing one coordinating policy framework.

B. Mainstreaming disability within the coming second national HIV prevalence survey, the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS), and the National Population Census.

C. Develop Policy Guidelines towards provision of disability friendly key health/HIV/AIDS services such as Voluntary counseling and testing (VCT), family planning (FP), national monitoring and evaluation such as Demographic Health surveys (DHS); issues in cost sharing within disability,
