Birth:
The late Francis Lewis Muiruri was born on the 23rd June 1939,
at Mararo village. He ws the eith child of the late Mr. and
Mrs James Kamanathi and Alice Wanjiku. They had ten children,
eight boys and two girls. |
| Education:
He started his education at Ndunyu Elementary School in 1948.
He did his common Entrance exam in 1951, which he passed and
went to Kirangani Intermediate school from 1952-56. !957,
he joined Holy Ghosts Mission Riruta after his exams which
he passed and joined Holy Ghost Mangu High school for O-level
which finished 1960. |

| He was baptised on the 28th August 1939 at
St. Paul's Mother Church Kabete. He accepted our Lord as his
personal saviour in 1998 at ACK Nkoroi Church, Ngong. |

Marriage:
He fell in love with Margaret Njeri, daughter of the late
Mr. sospeter Kung'u and his wife Serah Wanja. They got married
at St. Peter's Ndunyu in 1963. They were blessed with their
first born James Mungane on the 23rd May, 1964. They were
blessed with five more children, Alice Wanjiku Mwaura, Serah
Wanja Jaoko, Isabel Mugure, Rose Wanjiru
and Nancy Njeri. All of whom he worked tirelessly to educate,
with much love and dedication. |
Work:
He joined the Kenya
Post Office in 1961 where he worked for 6 months
and later joined Standard chartered Bank in the same year.
He was posted to Westlands Branch, and then later co-opted
to Co-operative Bank for two years. He returned to Standard
chartered Bank, Moi avenue where he worked as manager until
he retired in 1994.

Service:
He was the chairman of development commitee of St. Peter's
Ndunyu as well as a commitee member of St. Paul's Mother Church,
kabete until his demise. Throughout his service he was generous
and faithful. He trielessly assisted his wife in rendering
service to the diocese. He was chairman of Mararo water project
