Background
KNDWP-NET was formed out of a unique experience: In 2002, some
Deaf women participated in a National Women’s Peace and
Human Rights Workshop, their first time to participate alongside
hearing women and in a forum of this nature too.
This marked the beginning of spirited efforts to participate in
other for as well as forge networks as they became intensely aware
of what they had been missing out on as a violation of their right
to information and benefits of exercise of right to freedom of
expression on issues affecting them.
