:: Where are we?
A leader must be aware of where we are as a community.
Where we are is a mixture of many issues including historical,
governance structures, mobilization structures, resources both
human and financial, and the distribution thereof. The current
constitutional review is more of an argument seeking the answer
this question.
Where we are in a democracy will be seen in the
ability to come up with a manifesto that can define what ails
us adequately to convince the majority that you know problem well
enough to provide a solution.
The big gap between the ruling
elite and the Kenyan young generation is more an expression
of lack of awareness of where we are. Voting apathy and
increase in organizations operating outside established
law…
It is unless we find out where we are that
we would find it hard to accept culture and productive activities
in the youth that we fail to understand. How
many would accept their young to pursue a singing career
after 12 years of education... |

it is important to note that leaders know: how
many we are and what our needs and capabilities
are. Leaders must know what the opportunities available
are immediately and which need to be improved to provide new openings.
Who needs what support to take advantage of which opportunities?
