1. HIV AND AIDS ARE DIFFERENT STAGES OF THE SAME DISEASE

AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV- Human Immuno-deficiency Virus-which attacks the body’s immune system- the part of the body which fights disease. AIDS- Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome- is a stage of the illness where the body is no longer able to fight off common diseases, as a result of its weakened defense system.
