Disability is not Inability

:: Boniface Inyanya making a speech in which he spelt out the various challenges the deaf and the disabled in general face especially in relation to access to health.

The role of disability-sensitive health care facilities is integral to overcoming HIV/AIDs among the disabled populations. The deaf VCT is the first facility not only senmsitve to the deaf community but also employs the deaf who will serve the fellow deaf people in their natural language Sign language.

We hope that this will improve to the next level where the disabled will have access to hospital facilities providing ART services.
