:: Railafobia

Raila may be a mover but many a times his moving shakes people the wrong way critics say. He is too headstrong and could cause much radical changes especially if given a strong mandate. This is seen in his footprints all along during his career as a politician they claim. This mistrust has divided Kenya into two equally strong sides "Railafobia vs Railamania" as expressed by former Vice president Kijana Wamalwa.

His opposition to successive governments that he alleges 'have looted his beloved Kenya' and led him into three periods of detention without trial. He was detained for a total of eight years, six of them spent in solitary confinement. "No matter the personal cost, Raila shuns any option that involves compromising his own or the nation’s integrity", quoting from His website.

As the MP for a constituency that houses a large number of Nairobi’s urban poor. Railafobia have used the fact that he owns one a state of the art top-range vehicle a hummer while if he was a people's president this could go a long way in alleviating the suffering of his constituents.

He attracts intense grassroots support bordering on heroworship, and whose behaviour many a times makes others fear a Raila Presidency. One of the main reasons Railafobia has been such strong is the behaviour of His Supporters.

Does he have a short temper?

In an interview recently with KTN, Peter Opondo Asked him quoting His Book "Raila Odinga an enigma in Kenyan Politics" that Raila other side is his anger. That Raila has a short temper and can be very harsh when he is angry. Raila responded in the interview that he has very little time with mediocrity. He does not have much time for "unreasonable" reasons or things ...".but he respects other poeple's opinon's and points of view and their right to express it"

Such qualities are some of the issues that worry Raila's critics. They say that If he has such short tempers and he is known to be headstrong we may have issues with him in power. He may have wvery little time for say an irritant press pursuing "unreasonable" angles of opinion to his government.
