Raila may be a mover but many a times his moving shakes people the wrong way critics say. He is too headstrong and could cause much radical changes especially if given a strong mandate. This is seen in his footprints all along during his career as a politician they claim.

Most of his critics Say he cannot be trusted because he "jumps" from one political party to another. "What they do not point is that everytime he jumps he wins" says Wambui The ODM Kenya Representative for Nairobi. "This is because everytime he has changed parties, he has remained true to his principles in the quest for more democratic Kenya, and every change he has made has advanced the cause of the democratiuc mission."

"Mr. Odinga has remained focussed on the need to influence structural change that will outlaw personal rule and create a framework for an institutional ojne" She is quoted in a local Daily saying.

His work in the constitutional review has been exemplary. From his stewardship in the parliamentary select commitee to ensure a people driven constitution taht has been consistent from the days of President Moi to the current Presdient Kibaki is undeniable.

Mr Odinga is also reconciliatory. He suffered in MOi's detention torture chambers and yet cooperated with him during the cooperation of NDP and KANU.

He is not a tribalist. Otherwise he could not have supported Presodent Kibaki to Power in the 2002 elections that saw even the Luo Nyanza support and Vote in Kibaki to a man.

He is a team builder. He is the integral part of the ODM Kenya just like he was the pillar behind the Rainbow Coalition that broght Kibaki to power. Because of his down to earth manner of politicswith a grasp for issues that touch on the wananchi (citizens) their support for him is emotional in manny cases thus his bid for the top seat as the people's Presdient.

He is an Agenda setter. Nearly all the landmark issues in thei country in the last two decaded have a Raila Odinga footprint. He leads from the from and is not shy to defend a position that is people-driven even if it means rubbing the rulling elite and adversaries the wrong way.

Odinga is a nationalist both politically and from family backgraound. Although his political base is in Nairobi, his companions and followers are found through out the country. He has a mixed background that goes back to the Kingdom of Wanga nof Mumias where his great grandfather was King nabongo' security man. His mother-in-law is from Kwisero, his eldest daugheter is married in Bunyore and his eldest son will soon marring in central province.
