Money is one of the biggest areas of challenge in a marriage. Kathy and Allan say that keeping inflow higher than outflow must be a couple’s guiding principle.

In many relationships, one spouse tends to spend more than the other. Kathy is the culprit in this case, but as long as she explains to her husband the expenditure and ensures that she is not going against the outflow versus inflow principle, everything is fine.

“Many couples hide their financial situations from each other. This lack of transparency leads to distrust and this is unhealthy for any marriage,” says Kathy.
